March 20, 2002
To our valued customers:
On March 14, 2002 the Airline Community terminated its long standing relationship with U.S. Travel Agencies by eliminating payment of base commissions on airline tickets. U.S. travel agencies will no longer be compensated for selling airline tickets to our clients and friends. The travel agency is still the most reliable source for knowledgeable, professional assistance to the traveling public. With this action, by the airlines, the consumer will be the loser. The airlines do not have the staff to service the influx of calls from travelers and the internet sites pose many other problems and issues. We are committed to continue serving our loyal customers with the high level of service and unbiased pricing information that has become standard with our agency.
The Airlines have forced the travel agency community to find other means of compensation for their valuable knowledge and assistance. In an effort to replace commissions, reduce costs and cover operating expenses our new service fee structure is listed below. These fees become effective immediately.
Airline ticket/reservation $ 30.00
Hotel/Car reservation $ 5.00
(non-corporate accounts)
Exchange/re-issue $ 20.00
(does not include fee charged by airline)
Dog Show Judge Airline reservations $ 30.00 (non-onofrio show)
$ 20.00 (Onofrio Show)
When possible, electronic ticket itineraries and hotel and car reservations will be confirmed by e-mail and/or fax.
We regret having to take this action and hope that our clients will continue their loyalty to our agency, as we try to continue our loyalty to them. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Debbie Phillips Agency Manager 888-328-0463 or Kyle Robinson General Manager 866-326-0871.
We look forward to serving you with all your travel needs for many years to come.
